Synopsis

My story isn’t a love story … not the typical kind anyway.
As a lawyer, I’m used to discovery, but I never saw this one coming.

Every day, River gives me ten reasons to stay away, and then eleven reasons why I can’t. Our relationship was to remain strictly business, or at least I tried.

Four years of marriage, and everything with Cole has changed. I never knew two people who lived together could be so distant. But I’m not ready to give up on him.

Review

Well, goodness, gracious.  This is my very first Lisa DeJong book.  I have bought her others but just haven’t had the time to read them with my busy reading schedule, but I am going to make sure for certain that I make time to squeeze this babies in now.  Because this book had me from page one.  I was literally on a sexual rollercoaster.  Torn between doing the right thing and feeling good right along with heroine, Marley.

God, this one is so good but I feel like I can hardly talk about it because there are just too many spoilers to be given away.  But man, I felt bad for rooting for River when Marley is married and really wants to work things out and love her husband but I just couldn’t help myself.  River was just too sexy, hilarious, and charming.

I loved this story.  It had plenty of angst and drama and was oh so sexy but what I really loved was the mystery behind what was going on.  I loved how I had an inkling of what might have been going on but I was totally in denial.  LOL.  What fabulously written book and I cannot wait to read more from this author.
