Review
Kaidence never thought she would get her happily every after, especially since she thought no man would want her as she is a little plus sized but she wasn’t counting on meeting Titan. Titan is dominant, fierce and loves everything about Kai as soon as he sees her. Although they both feel extreme feelings as soon as they meet its not that simple. Being part of an illegal racing league means Titan lives life in the fast lane, with enemies who are angry that his league always win and soon someone is messing in their lives in a very dangerous way.
“I think of the pain I’m hiding on the inside behind my smile, laughter, and jokes, and close my eyes. I gave up on love weeks ago. One last wish. One last try. This is it.”
I’ve really struggled with what to give this story because I loved the plot line and I loved most of the characters BUT I struggled with the lead Titan a lot. He too often crossed the line of dominant to a little bit abusive and it really got on my nerves.
“This moment is one of the moments I will never forget. It is the moment my world entire changed. I clink my glass with his and seal my future. “To our first step,” I respond.
What I loved;
The plot was great. Fast paced, fast cars, hot sex and lots of drama and suspense. Little bit of everything that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout most of the story.
The league were brilliant. They all had such individual personalities but each of them had elements of being funny, sweet, caring, strong- a list of their admirable traits could go on and on.
Kaidence was another character I loved. I was proud of her loving her figure, proud of staying strong during tough times and I liked it when she didn’t always give in to Titan but I do wish she had stood her ground a little more.
“You asked for only me. I’m giving you that. All I want and care about is not losing you. It’s the little things only I know that I want every day from you. Those are things that make you irreplaceable to me.”
Issues I had with the story was the fact of instant love which is always a problem for me because I think it makes the love least believable. And Titan was a big issue for me; he had times when he was sweet and he was definitely powerful and sexy but he was sometimes, too demanding and it came across not sexy or dominant but controlling and a bit mean.
“It was a nightmare. It never happened. It will never happen. I won’t allow it.”
However I would definitely recommend this story. It was has passion, drama, great characters and a plot that will set your heart racing as fast as the drivers race their cars.
