Synopsis

When Sawyer Reed wants something, he gets it.
And I WANT her.
She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s already mine.
Her resistance is futile because once I start a play, I always follow through. And I ALWAYS win.
Nothing, not even the deep-seated hate I have for my rival, Jacob Byrd, is going to keep me from my end game.
And my end game is Gretchen Cole.
But I have to keep my head in the game. Everyone knows what happens to a quarterback when he loses focus. He gets SACKED.

Review

EEEP!  I love a freaking football book and the cover for this book is magnificent and hot as all get out!  Love it and I was too excited so I dove right into this one right away.  This book ticked a lot of my boxes and here is why.  There is football.  There is a sexy egotistical hero.  There is a spunky take no bull crap girl.  There is angst.  There is a bit of a mystery at the beginning.  Add all of that to the fact that this book is hot as sin and totally hilarious and you have the recipe for an excellent read!

“it was the epic cock.  I was drugged by the dick.  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.”

You guys are really going to enjoy this one.  I know I did and I am sure that some of that enjoyment stemmed from the simple fact that a lot of this book took place in my home state of South Carolina and the city I was born in, Columbia.  Tabatha really reminded what it was like to be in college during football season and games against my rival school.  She took me back to that time in my life complete with sexy football players and New Adult angst.  And she made me love Sawyer and God I didn’t want to.  He starts out so smarmy and full of himself but he won me over slowly but surely with his quick wit and charm.

‘Was she really going to blame it on the alcohol?

This wasn’t a fucking a Jamie Foxx song.’

I know, I know that from my review this book sounds like a romantic comedy but actually it didn’t really read like one.  It was full of angst and some pretty sad and gut wrenching moments.  Sacked put my emotions through the ringer.  I laughed, I cried, I grieved right along with these characters.  This is definitely a sports romance the you need to pick up!
