I have absolutely adored this entire series. And Lawless was crazy town good. I mean I devoured that book. But I knew from the very beginning that I was going to love Bear because he had me so intrigued in the first two books in this series. And the way that the author left a huge cliffy at the end of Lawless had me jonesing for this book so hard.
‘I was so angry.
I was also elated.
I was also in lust so hard that I was in physical pain.
I was really fucking angry.
I was head over heels in love.’
I will be honest and say that this book was probably my least favorite in this series but it was still darn good. The story was action packed but I was kind of bummed that it took so long into the book for Bear and Thia to be reunited. I understand why it did but it is honestly hard for me to read books that take a bit for the hero and heroine to actually interact. But for what the book lacked in romance at the beginning it made up for quirky new characters. Like Rage for instance. I am obsessed with this barbie doll bad a$$. I sure hope we get a book about her because I feel like we got a little of her back story and I am sold! SOLD! Also, this book had so much action and that may be why I didn’t love it quite as well. It was just well, A LOT. Sometimes I start to lose interest a bit but the story really was good and packed a lot of punch. And of course sexy as all get out Bear was still as smoking and alpha as ever so I had to love this story.
‘Bear was as beautiful as he was hard. He was as complex as he was simple. He was both the storm and the calm. The fear and the solace. The rage and the peace.’
As usual with this author the writing was top notch and I really enjoyed the love story aspect of this book. Towards the end a lot of shocking things happen so get ready to have your mind blown because this story isn’t going at all the way you thought it was going to. Another great book and I cannot wait for Rage’s story (hopefully next).
